Artist Profile:
Formed around Keisuke Yamamoto under the name "SKUNK" in 1979, the group made their single debut with "Lovely Night" in 1980. The following year, they rebranded as PIPER and released their debut album *I'M NOT IN LOVE*. Initially a five-piece lineup consisting of Keisuke Yamamoto, Takashi Shima, George Hikita, Yoshiyuki Kumaki, and Hiroshi Oshima, they downsized to a trio starting with their 1983 album *Summer Breeze*. After multiple lineup changes, Keisuke Yamamoto’s younger brother Kousuke Yamamoto joined the band ahead of their 1985 fifth studio album *LOVERS LOGIC*. The group went on hiatus afterwards. In 2018, they resumed regular live performances following the launch of their first CD reissues and US releases. They released their first greatest hits album *Piper Cool Selection* in 2023.
